Startup ‘TechFire’ Hiring Thousands of Localized Computer Repair Techs, Nationwide

TechFire. Awesome Techs. Awesome Prices.

Providence, RI (PRWEB) February 03, 2014

TechFire, a new, national computer repair company, is looking to hire thousands of computer technicians around the country and aims to provide a cheaper and more honest alternative to the nation’s leading repair providers.

The Rhode Island startup launched its service this week, offering remote access and in-person repair services to both residential and small business customers nationwide. Services include setting up a new computer, consulting, virus removal and everything in between.

The service operates as a network of at-ready technicians who are dispatched jobs via text messages, based on the cities they choose to service. Techs can review a summary of the nearby job and choose to accept or reject it, on a first-come-first-serve basis, earning the customer’s future orders as well. Customers can chat with a tech at tech-fire.com, or call and schedule an appointment with a local tech.

“It’s crowdsourcing for computer repair, something the public has needed for quite some time,” says TechFire founder Keith Cardin. “Thousands of techs have been laid off or can’t find work, and thousands of people need computer care, but aren’t sure where to find personal, affordable service. Customers are wary of using local shops, and larger chains are typically more expensive. We believe our customers should have their own personal techs, at rates they can afford.”

TechFire, in its infancy, currently dispatches around 100 field techs to handle its rapidly growing customer base in the Orlando, Providence, Atlanta and Chicago areas, and is now accepting applications for techs nationwide on their website to expand their physical coverage area. The company is also in the process of developing partnerships with local computer repair shops to act as certified TechFire repair centers, enabling shop owners to earn extra foot traffic, which allows TechFire to offer discounted in-store solutions for customers.
